Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport recorded 100 degrees on Sunday — 13 degrees above normal. It was the first triple-digit temperature of 2024.

The National Weather Service in Phoenix forecasts more high temperatures for the beginning of the work week. However, a cooldown could be coming later.

“So temperatures are going to be going into the middle below 90s through the middle of the week and then we’ll be back into the middle to upper 80s going into next weekend," said meteorologist Alex Young.

Young says temperatures could hit 100 degrees on Monday.
