Planned Parenthood Arizona will continue to provide abortion care through 15 weeks of pregnancy into May.

This comes as the Arizona Supreme Court issued a ruling that Arizona must follow a near-total ban from the 1800s, before women could vote.

However, the state is barred from enforcing that law for at least 45-days

“Rather than, you know, making clinical decisions based on what my patients are telling me, I will be phoning my lawyers for guidance on what I can do," said Dr. Jill Gibson, chief medical officer for Planned Parenthood Arizona.

It is not clear what access will remain available after that 45 day period, as Attorney General Kris Mayes says she has no plans to prosecute under the territorial era law.
